CHATSWORTH, GA- David Payne took out an all too familar game plan from his high school coaching files and dominated the competition at North Georgia Speedway Saturday night by winning two feature events.

On a night that featured two feature events, Payne was unstoppable. The first feature started as it left off two weeks ago following the rain that had fallen five laps into the race. Payne had set on the pole and led all five laps.

So the race began as it had left off with Payne leading the way over Gary McPherson, Steve Anderson, and Brian Hickman. From the start Payne began to check out on the field as the trio behind him were dicing back and forth for the second spot. On the final restart McPherson attempted to to challenge Payne for the top spot, but Payne was just too strong as he three-wheeled his GRT/RaceTek ride around the track to claim his first victory of the night.

Brian Hickman took top qualifying honors for the second feature with Payne on the outside pole position. The duo took the green flag and they both stayed wheel to wheel going into turn one.

Payne then wasted no time as he powered his way to the lead for lap one. The race would then go mostly caution free with Payne leading all 30 laps uncontested to capture his second win of the evening and third on the year.
