David and along with the team traveled to Atomic Speedway to run with the Southern All Stars Series. At the event there were 34 entries as the cars took to the track for qualifying.

David would take to the track for qualifying near the front of the pack. He would turn a lap of 12.76 that put him on the pole for a while. He would wind up qualifying in the fourth position behind Sexton, Tims, and Hood. His qualifying effort would lock him in the main event.

From the drop of the green flag the action was everywhere. David would fall back a couple of positions on the initial start, but he then went to the bottom groove where his car hooked up. At this point, David worked his way back up to the third position and eventually the second position as leader Sexton spun in turn four.

As the green flag flew following the caution Johnson got by David on the high side putting him in third. While running there in third, Roger Best while trying to get by David was unsure of where he wanted to drive his car, going high, low, and anywhere else. As he was doing this two other cars got by David dropping David to the seventh position.

Now in the seventh position with eight laps remaining David began to get his revenge from the earlier contact with Christenberry and Best. David started his late charge by getting by Christenberry on the restart. Next in line was Best as David worked to the low side. Following Best in line was Wesley Hood that David also got by.

Following all the exciting racing David came home fourth in the final rundow. Way to go David!! David and the team will be at North Georgia Speedway next week hopefully in full force with both racecars. Good luck David!!
